What is the Ten-Minute Play Festival?
The Ten-Minute Play Festival is an annual event hosted by The Theater Bug! It is an evening of plays that will feature 6-8 original ten-minute plays by local young writers produced on stage with both youth and adult professional actors!

What kind of plays can be submitted?
We’re looking for plays that are inventive, exciting, and unique. Plays can be realistic or fantastic, comedies or dramas, full of big universe-jumping science fiction ideas or full of small-scale everyday details, and everything in-between. The only limit is your imagination!

Who can Submit a play?
Submission are open to all middle Tennessee students ages 13-18, with all levels experience. This can be your first ever play or you can be an experienced writer! We want to see your stories!

How do I submit a play?
Submissions are open October 1 - November1, 2025. You must read the full submissions guidelines before submitting. Click the submit button below to begin your application.
